My road to becoming a dietitian was paved long before I could even pronounce the word. From a food-focused toddler to a carb-addicted teen, I was always thinking about my next meal. Growing up in a family that was part of the restaurant and hospitality industry only fueled this insatiable curiosity about food. At the age of 18, I became passionate about fitness, and soon after became a certified personal trainer. Exercise was energizing and invigorating, and I quickly discovered the pivotal role it played in creating a balance of both body and mind.

While in college, despite “healthy” eating efforts, I found myself plagued with extreme fatigue, fainting spells, and a wide array of unexplained digestive symptoms. Numerous trips to the doctor were increasingly frustrating after being given a list of diagnoses and told to take various pills to treat the symptoms. Instinctively, I knew these pills were not effective remedies and refused to take them. Looking back, this experience was the true catalyst which inspired a journey to heal my body naturally.

Upon receiving my license to practice Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics in 1998, I was fortunate to meet mentors who would change the course of my life and career forever. It was during this time that I discovered holistic nutrition and began to work side by side with functional medicine physicians and clinical nutritionists. My eyes were completely opened to the importance of going beneath the surface, treating the root cause, and healing what the body is trying to communicate through symptoms.

Fast forward 25 years, and I continue to love the work that I do each and every day. I listen with an empathetic heart and an open mind because I truly understand how it feels to be ‘stuck’ when it comes to your health and the impact of the foods you choose. I am forever grateful to be a part of helping my patients find their way to a balanced mind, body, and spirit. ♥

My Philosophy

“I believe in taking an intuitive and scientific approach to healing. By understanding the way food, emotions, and the environment affect the biochemistry of our cells, we can learn how to become conscious of why our bodies feel the way they do. This awareness is not only healing, but also creates a strong sense of personal empowerment for attaining optimal health, happiness, and well-being.”
