Loaded Oats

Ingredients
- 2 cups oatmeal, uncooked
- 4 tsp natural nut butter – almond, peanut, cashew butter or other
- 2 cups skim milk or milk alternative (soy, rice or other)
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 scoops best quality protein powder, flavor of your choice
- 4 tbsp coarsely ground flax seeds
Directions
- Bring the milk and water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Add remaining ingredients except flax seed, and reduce heat. Cook gently for 3 to 5 minutes, until mixture becomes uniform and thick.
- Ladle into four bowls and sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon ground flax seed. Serve immediately.
