Seared Ahi Tuna with Salad

Serves: 1

Ingredients

Tuna

  • 5 oz ahi tuna steak
  • Black pepper

Salad

  • 1 small bunch romaine lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
  • 1 small cucumber, diced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • Balsamic vinegar to taste
 

Directions

Tuna

  1. Get the pan hot before searing the steak.
  2. Rub black pepper into both sides of the steak before dropping into pan.
  3. Sear on both sides for at least a minute or two; longer if you prefer it more seared.

Salad

  1. Combine all ingredients. Serve with ahi steak.
  2. For a little extra taste, toss a splash of balsamic vinaigrette on the tuna.
