Seared Ahi Tuna with Salad

Ingredients
Tuna
- 5 oz ahi tuna steak
- Black pepper
Salad
- 1 small bunch romaine lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
- 1 small cucumber, diced
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- Balsamic vinegar to taste
Directions
Tuna
- Get the pan hot before searing the steak.
- Rub black pepper into both sides of the steak before dropping into pan.
- Sear on both sides for at least a minute or two; longer if you prefer it more seared.
Salad
- Combine all ingredients. Serve with ahi steak.
- For a little extra taste, toss a splash of balsamic vinaigrette on the tuna.
